HOW IT WORKS
Quantum follows a set process to make sure all clients get the benefits and services they need from their Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This process, called the Quantum Review, has been proven effective for 20 years in getting the appropriate help for every employee. Here's how it works:
1. Telephone Access: If you need help with a personal
issue (from family troubles to substance abuse, money problems
to finding appropriate child-care), anything that is interfering
with your ability to live and work as you normally do, call our toll-free,
24-hour help line at (877)747-1200. You will talk to a Case Manager who
will confidentially help you get the assistance you need.
2. Determination of Care: Your case manager will listen
to you, help determine the root of the problem, and recommend a course of treatment.
This could be therapy, counseling, or other professional services.
3. Assessment and Referral: Your case worker will then
refer you to a specific service provider. This service provider might
be a therapist, clinic, counselor, or other professional who is board-certified
to help people in your particular situation. Your service provider will
develop a results-oriented plan, to help you feel better fast.
4. Coordination: If there needs to be any coordination
between you, your company's Human Resources department, and/or your service
provider, Quantum will make all the arrangements. You just go to your
assigned service provider, and we take care of the paperwork.
5. "Concurrent Review": Throughout your treatment, Quantum
will monitor your care to make sure you're getting exactly what you need.
If you need different services, more services, or even fewer services,
the "Concurrent Review" process is there to see that it happens.
6. Second Opinions:
If you are not comfortable with the services you're getting, you can obtain a second opinion by going to a different service provider. Quantum will help you do this. Just call your case worker for a referral.
7. After-Care:
After you're feeling better, we'll follow up with you occasionally to make sure everything is going well. If you need help after your treatment is complete (for example, finding a support group meeting that you can drop in on occasionally), your case worker will help you.
8. Quality Assurance:
We want to make sure we're giving our clients the best services they can receive. After your treatment is complete, we would like to hear what you think of Quantum, your service provider(s), and the whole "Quantum Review" process. This information is kept confidential, and is only used to make sure we're doing a good job and make any improvements that are needed.
